Grand Design RV vs Jayco RV History

Grand Design RV, a company founded by friends Don Clark and brothers Ron and Bill Fenech, strives to create lifelong customers. The focus is always on you, the customer. That’s evident with the warranty each Grand Design RV comes with, as each coach is backed by a 3-year limited structural warranty.

Every Grand Design RV goes through a series of quality inspection gates throughout manufacturing, and every coach goes to a pre-delivery inspection area, where it undergoes a 288+ point inspection. With the laminated aluminum-framed construction, wood-truss-framed roof, and TPO roof covering, every Grand Design RV is meant to stand the test of time.

Jayco got its start back in 1968, with creator Lloyd Bontrager building a prototype camper with a lifter system for fold-down campers. In 1971, the company created its first travel trailer, and in 1972, they joined the fifth-wheel market. The popular Espirit tent camper hit the scene back in the early 1990s, while new manufacturing plants opened up in the 2000s.

Today, both Grand Design and Jayco create campers designed with the RV owner in mind. They’ve remained true to the RV craft. Now, it’s time to learn more about your available options.

Grand Design RV vs Jayco Models

Popular Grand Design models in our inventory include the Imagine, Reflection, Solitude, and Transcend. These have been crafted with close attention to detail. The aluminum-framed sidewalls, rear wall, and sidewalls and roof each slideroom give the RV a sturdier feel. The maintenance-free TPO roof covering won’t streak like a traditional rubber roof.

Each of these models also has available racetrack ducting, which ensures efficient cooling capable of extending the ducting past each A/C unit for uninterrupted airflow from front to back.

Whether you want to tow your RV or drive your RV, Jayco has plenty of options and floorplans to help customize an RV. The Jay Feather, which you’ll find in our inventory, has screwed-and-glued cabinetry, crown molding, and woodgrain accent paneling which gives it a classy look. The available 30-amp electric fireplace in the White Hawk can set the mood, with a TV up to 50 inches in width entertaining your rainy days.

The Octane toy hauler can be the right fit for your ATVs and motorcycles. Don’t miss out on that next adventure. You certainly won’t with a Grand Design or Jayco RV.
